The entrance hall is the 'face' of the house, and Feng Shui can help to make its energy more positive and active with the help of mirrors.

The entrance hall and the hallway are the places where the home begins. The hall meets and sees off the guests, welcomes the family back home, and even determines what kind of and how much energy enters the house. Of course, it is always good if the Chi is entering home freely, meeting no obstacles, and spreading all over the house carrying the same positive qualities.

Entrance Hall in Feng Shui

Any home starts with an entrance hall – it is the face of the house. Therefore, the entrance hall is a strategic space, which should be decorated and furnished in such a way that it not only successfully intakes the entering Chi, but also effectively directs it into all the other rooms.

First of all, Feng Shui recommends this part of the house or apartment to be spacious. However, not everyone is lucky enough to have a large hallway. This is the case where mirrors, being a great Feng Shui cure, are your best friends.

Feng Shui considers mirrors to be a very effective tool for energizing and redirecting energy. So, mirrors can make any hall, no matter what its size or form are, a good entrance way for the positive energy.

Feng Shui Mirrors for the Entrance Hall

Mirrors are a very positive thing in the hall or the corridor. They visually enlarge the space and make it lighter.

Furthermore, mirrors make the entering energy positive by means of dispersing light evenly. Then mirrors distribute Chi in such a way that the energy flows become more balanced and harmonized. If it is a narrow corridor, for instance, mirrors will energize the flow of Chi.

However, never locate a mirror opposite to the front door. This will make the Chi that enters your home slow down or even turn back. This, in its turn, will lead to the lack of energy in the house. By the way, this rule works for all the rooms of the house or apartment.

If the mirror in the hall does not face the door it, on the contrary, will be directing the good Chi into all the other rooms. In addition, this mirror will be absorbing negative energy that might be brought from the outside.

Another Feng Shui rule is that a mirror in the hall should be large and, in an ideal case, framed. The mirror located in the front door area should reflect the full figure of any of the home dwellers. A perverted or ‘cut’ reflection figuratively cuts the energy contour of the person, thus harming his or her physical and mental state.

Being the entrance for incoming Chi, an entrance hall is a crucial for the whole house place. In order for the hall to evenly redistribute good energy throughout the house, place a mirror in the entrance door area. It is an especially good idea if the hall is small or narrow. The mirrors, however, should be large and not reflect the entrance door.
