Here are Feng Shui tips on using mirrors for attracting the good and protecting from the negative. Also, learn what to do with broken mirrors.

In Feng Shui, mirrors serve not only as beautiful elements of interior design, but also as powerful and quite universal Feng Shui cures and tools. Mirrors can serve different purposes: improve home décor and reflect you when you need them, of course. However, these magic tools can also greatly influence and improve life. The following Feng Shui tips will help you to use mirrors in the most effective and useful ways.

Feng Shui Tips on Using Mirrors

  • Try to do everything possible in order for the mirrors not to reflect anything negative, such as quarrels, tears or garbage.
  • It is also not the best idea to locate mirrors in such a way that they reflect a toilet or its door.
  • A mirror should not be located opposite to a fireplace. In this case the energy of fire is reflected back and has no power left to heat the room.
  • Furniture around the mirror should be placed in such a way that it does not interfere with looking into the mirror.
  • It is better not to use mirror tiles and mirrors with pictures or any other décor on them. Such things divide or break your reflection into pieces and can potentially break into pieces your dreams or expectations.
  • Put a few bills in front of the mirror for attracting wealth. Mirrors have an ability to ‘double’ what they reflect – reflecting wealth a mirrors will be bringing more of it into life.
  • It is a good habit to always have a small mirror in your pocket or purse. This little Feng Shui cure will be reflecting, thus protecting you from, the negative energy of the environment. Furthermore, this small mirror will reflect back any negative thoughts or curses aimed at you.

How to Deal with Broken Mirrors

If the mirror cracks or breaks into pieces it might mean that it wasn’t able to hold the absorbed negative energy any more. In case a mirror gets broken or has a crack, throw it away immediately and replace with a new one. Be sure not to look into a cracked mirror or into a fragment of the broken one. In addition, make sure all the tiniest pieces are gathered and thrown away as well.

Afterwards it can be checked whether the negative influence of the broken mirror has disappeared. For this purpose put some potted plant on the place where the mirror was located. If the plant starts dying, it’s better to clear the space or apply some Feng Shui cures to the place with negative energy. If, on the contrary, the plant feels as well as usually, everything is fine – all the negative energy has gone with the mirror.

And, of course, never forget to clean your mirrors regularly. In order to clear energy the mirror should be clean itself.

So, in most cases mirrors bring into your life more of what they reflect, or protect you and your home from negative influences of the environment or people. However, a cracked or broken mirror never works in such a manner. Therefore, broken glasses should be never kept at home.
